We've created artificial intelligence systems trained on the sum total of human knowledge, then express shock when they reflect the full spectrum of human thought—including the dangerous, the disturbing, and the deliberately transgressive.
The real crisis isn't that AI systems can discuss taboo topics. It's that we've systematically failed to teach people how to evaluate information critically, regardless of whether it comes from silicon or carbon sources.
