Epinomy is built on a component based architecture with four primary functional areas: Data Source Registry, Concept Manager, Semantic Search and Reporting. Epinomy can handle just about any kind of data that you can throw at it - whether it is data-warehouse style tabular data, time series, multimedia, office documents, web pages or other kinds of feeds, Epinomy can ingest them and attach them to your core business objects.
Data Source Registry
One of the beauties of a NoSQL database is its ability to easily ingest all varieties of data, be they web feeds, documents from folders, data from another structured database, data that resides in outside repositories, etc. Epinomy includes an easy to use pipeline management tool that connects all the sources of data that need to be ingested into Epinomy. The pipeline consists of customizable stages, each of which can be configured in series to transform and enrich the data as it is loaded into Epinomy.
The Concept Manager is a user interface for object graphs. You can define objects and relationships among those objects using a simple data structure called a "triple". Leverage semantic concepts without having to be an ontologist. Model anything, discover semantic relationships, create and extract links between documents, concepts, people, places and things.
A reverse search engine executes thousands of queries against unstructured and textual structured assets to trigger events. Whether the event is to enrich the metadata of a document, send an email or update a database, the hyper-efficient reverse search engine does the heavy lifting for you and automatically adds ALL the relevant meta-data that will make your assets more discoverable.
Semantic Search is the primary user interface to Epinomy. It provides the "amazon.com-style" search experience for enterprise information assets. Everybody knows how to shop online. Amazon.com and other online retailers have invested billions of dollars into research and development for their ubiquitous search engines. The premise of Epinomy is that enterprise information assets are like "products" that customers wand to "buy".
Facet refiners, page links and snippets are the core features. Clusters, charts, maps, timelines and graphs all make information easier to see.
